There are 4 locations where Metro South has English learning classes taught by volunteer teachers. These classes meet 2 days a week for 2 hours at a time. 

Classes in Edina:

Edina Community Center 

  • Located at 5701 Normandale Road in Edina. 
  • Is part of the Family Literacy Class where there is childcare for 6 month-4 year olds. 
  • English learning is part of this class. 
  • Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am-11:30am from August 29-May 29. 

 

Classes in Eden Prairie:

Eden Prairie Library 

  • Located at 565 Prairie Center Drive in Eden Prairie. 
  • Has childcare for 6 month-4 year olds of Eden Prairie residents. 
  • Meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00am-12:00pm from September 30-May 21. 

 

Classes in Richfield-2 locations:

Centennial Elementary School

  • Located at 7315 Bloomington Avenue South in Richfield. 
  • Open to adults of children in Richfield Public Schools because of security clearance in the school building.  
  • Meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00am-11:00am from September 30-May 21. 
  • Childcare is not available. 

 

Central Education Center 

  • Located at 7145 Harriet Avenue South in Richfield. 
  • Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30pm-2:30pm from October 1-May 22. 
  • Childcare is not available.
