How to Register for Class
The registration process has several easy steps that you will need to complete to be placed in a class.
Step One : Visit Our Website
Go to our website Metrosouth.org and click on English Classes. If our registration is open there will be a registration button to click.
If registration is closed come back on the posted date for registration to open.
Step Two : Fill Out the Interest Form
Fill out the Interest Form. Be sure to fill out the form as completely as possible. ONLY PICK A LOCATION YOU WHERE YOU ARE ABLE TO TAKE CLASSES.
After you submit this form someone from Metro South will contact you via TEXT. This usually takes 48 hours.
Step Three : Watch for a text from Metro South
Watch for a text from Metro South. Be sure to respond quickly to the text to confirm your registration appointment.
Make a note of your registration time, date and place.
Step Four : Come to your registration appointment and take a reading test
Come to your registration appointment. Be sure to be at least 10 minutes early. If you are too late you will not be able to register. Be sure to bring a photo ID.
Take an English reading test on a Chromebook. This test to is see how much English you know.
THERE IS NO PASS OR FAIL.
Plan about two hours for the test and class placement process.
Step Five : Get your English class placement
After you finish your test a registration clerk will help place you in an English class based on your test score.
You will be given your class information and start time.
Sometimes classes are full and you may have to wait for an opening.
You will be placed in a class at the location you took your test.
Step Six : Enjoy your Class
Our classes are free and for many different levels.
Students are required to attended class regularly and turn in work on time.
All students are required to test periodically to establish their improvement.
