College Prep

Looking to improve your skills before taking a school entrance exam or trade test? In this free program, students work independently at their own pace. You and your instructor work together to figure out your needs and make your education plan. With the guidance of your instructor, you will improve your reading, math, and writing skills.
College Prep requires in person attendance. It is NOT group instruction. Our teacher provides practice materials, and helps students improve basic skills such as reading, writing, or math. The purpose is for a student to practice the skills needed to go on to their next goal, with support from our teacher and volunteers. The classroom is set up as an independent study, and this allows study times to be flexible. To enroll, students must make a registration appointment at our Bloomington location. These may take up to two hours and typically require reading testing.
You must be 17 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED. This program enrolls students on an ongoing basis, so it’s always the right time to advance your education or career.
