Metro South Adult Basic Education is a consortium of Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Edina, and Richfield. Metro South serves individuals and families from a wide range of communities, primarily in the metropolitan suburbs of south Hennepin County.

The mission of Metro South is to support the efforts of all adults who wish to improve their lives through literacy, education, career development and lifelong learning. Metro South functions as a bridge, connecting adult learners to important next steps in life. These include new or better jobs, expanded careers, further education, and improved family and community effectiveness.

Metro South has worked hard to create programming that meets both the immediate and future goals of our students. Our programming helps students plan their education while at MSABE, and as they move into the workforce or seek post-secondary opportunities.

MSABE has been providing ABE programs in our community for more than four decades. One of the largest ABE consortium programs in Minnesota, MSABE has over 2,000 students accessing services yearly. We offer a wide range of programs which includes, ESL, GED, Adult Diploma, College Prep and Career Pathways classes. MSABE currently schedules programming six days a week and two evenings per week. Sites are located in Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Edina, and Richfield with most programming located at our Bloomington Community Education Campus (CEC).
